In the 1960's and 1970's most of the collectibles wrestling fans could purchase were in the form of paper material. The Honolulu newspapers ran weekly ads promoting upcoming cards.

Wrestling in Hawaii was sold at wrestling matches at the old Civic Auditorium in Honolulu during the 1950s when Al Karasick was the promoter.
